"La Leggenda", hidden amongst the green slopes of the Fiora Valley, isn't that easy to find without detailed indications !

It is situated near Selva, a tiny village on the outskirts of Santa Fiora (Grosseto province) at the foot of Mount Amiata.

So first of all you must arrive in the near vicinity of Santa Fiora, the nearest town which is the main reference to find us. The small medieval town centre of Santa Fiora is on the slopes of Mount Amiata in southern Tuscany, more or less along an immaginary line between Rome and Florence. It is on the border between the provinces of Grosseto and Siena. Easy to reach both from north and south, via the main A1 motorway or, alternately, via either the trunk road Via Cassia (SS2) or Via Aurelia(SS1).

When you arrive at Santa Fiora follow the indications for Castellazzara. About 4 miles (6 Kilometres)  after leaving the town, at one of the curves, follow the indications for the Convent of Selva (Ss. Trinità). Approximately 200 yards after the convent, on the left, you'll find "Via del Fosso Serpentaio".  Take this steep road and, after about half a mile ... we're on the right!

How long will the journey take ? Not too long ! From Rome it takes about two hours and a half ; from Florence about two hours ;  from Siena more-or-less an hour.

All that's left is to wish you "Buon viaggio" and "see you soon" !
